Middle Ages in Ludza District


Duration of the program  — 40 min.

The program is designed for elementary and high school students. The venue of the program is the Museum’s Medieval exhibit space, where the collection items are a good introduction to the topic. The aim of the program – to give an idea of people’s lifestyles and occupation in the Middle Ages, and to educate students about the medieval events in Ludza from the 13th – 16th century. Students are offered a role-play “Medieval residents” in order to strengthen the knowledge gained during the program. Each of the participants of the program is shifted to the image of a certain medieval figure – a smith, a weaver, a lady, a knight, a town dweller, a pastor and a trader.
